Finn had believed that living day in and out in the med bay was bad, day in and day out waiting for any news and just hoping for the day when the doctors finally give the all clear so he could get out and help again. What finn had not expected that once he was finally on the outside that it would end with him looking back in and still frustratingly out of the loop.

The lack of control was exactly the sort of thing that terrified Finn and worse now when he finally had a choice in who he cared about and more importantly fight for. He thinks this shouldn't have happened and even if it was not a mission he was a part of all he can believe is he may have been able to prevent the situation if he had been healthy enough to help out.

By the time anyone is allowed to see Poe, Finn aches everywhere from being on his feet all day, but he jumps forward eagerly with concern in his eyes to be the first one one through the doors.

Rey looked at her comm every ten minutes, waiting to hear back from Poe. To try and mend what happened last night. granted, the night before was lost in bits and pieces. She knew things were said--what sort of things she wasn't sure. Her confession was out of her mind, along with the subtle hint that she had feelings for Finn as well. Instead of waiting for Poe to text her back, she dragged herself out of bed to shower and take care of herself.

By the time she got out of the Falcon that's when she learned the terrible news. Guilt and fear pooled in her stomach. She didn't want that conversation to be the last one they had. Part of her wanted to look for Finn to see if he had any news, but knowing her friend, the would be at the Med Bay too waiting to see Poe. Rey took off to the Med Bay, hoping the pilot was okay.

A few minutes after Finn was given the green light to go into Poe's room, Rey entered. Concern and guilt were evident in her hazel eyes, along with fatigue. She was still recovering from the wonderful idea of drinking with Finn. Both men were there and both seemed okay, but...

"You're okay?" she asked, looking at Poe then Finn, then back at the pilot. She only caught bits and pieces before dashing off.

Poe wasn't dozing when Finn came in, which was more than he expected. As it was, he wasn't feeling all that bad, so that meant he'd been given something to ease any pain. Hell, he felt almost pleasant but he knew that moving could easily change that. Still, for all the fuzz in his head, he knew Finn when he entered the room and he had a slightly lopsided smile ready for him.

He should've known that if Finn was there, Rey wouldn't be far behind and sure enough, he was right. Hoping to ease her obvious concern, he shot her as wide a grin as he could manage before leaning himself back into the bed again.

"Hey, I'm fine. I'll be up again in a day or two. Gotta be. Who's going to keep you two out of trouble if I'm not?"

When he arrived in med bay to find Poe awake albeit rough around edges the part of him that started to assume the worse relaxes. Tension building in his muscles and after a quick sigh of relief Finn smiles, wide and bright, because the important thing is that Poe is back and after a bit of rest and relaxation all right.

"Man it's good to see you." In truth, Finn means both Poe and Rey even though his eyes linger more on the pilot, but the thought is brushed quickly aside with a roll of his eyes as the subject of Poe acting as a glorified baby sitter is mentioned.

"I'll take a little trouble." He's not bitter (he is), but this situation does not help the frustration that has been building since he woke from his coma. While he may not want to find himself repeating everything that happened on Star Killer base something ... anything else that didn't leave him left behind would be a welcome change.

Though Poe was smiling wide at her and Finn, it doesn't help with relaxing her. Yes, Rey knew being a pilot--especially one as great as Poe--was dangerous, but if something happened to him, she wouldn't know what to do. If something happened to him or Finn, she would be heart broken.

She shot both boys a weak smile, coming up next to Finn. Like Finn, she rolled her eyes him Poe. No, he wasn't an over glorified baby sitter.

"You're more than that to us," she told him, recalling bits and pieces of their conversation from the nights before. How she felt strongly for both men and wanted to step aside because she thought Finn and Poe wanted to be together.

"The only trouble you're getting into would be if you left this bed any earlier. You need to rest. Unless you want Finn and me to baby sit you. "

"Trust me, I don't want out of here too early. The droids have been told to sedate me if I try to leave. General's orders."

Which was just because he'd done it before. Numerous times, in fact but for now, he's content to stay where he was. Give him a few days and he'll be climbing the walls and grumpy that he can't do what he wants to.

It was odd to have both of them right there with him. Odd and a bit nerve-wracking. He clearly remembered his chat with Rey and he almost hoped she didn't. It was selfish, but laying there, seeing the two of them side by side and he knew that it was for the best. They deserved each other and he was glad they were there.

For each other, of course.

"Any idea how long I was out? No one will give me a straight answer."

"Those droids mean business by the way." Much like Poe he tried to leave med bay more times than he could keep track of after he woke up for the first time. Lying in bed didn't seem right and he offers Poe a sympathetic smile before pulling up a chair so he can sit down at the pilot's bedside. Little did he know how much his own muscles ached until he was fully seated.

"Little while - felt like forever." The exaggeration is accompanied by annoyed gestures of his hands. "Docs wouldn't let anyone in till they were said you ready for visitors." It was hard to keep track of time, Finn thought they did that purpose as a trick to help make you relax. Never worked on him the whole time he stayed here.

"What happened - I mean if you even remember? Rumors are all over the place." Of course, he's eager to hear how it happened - his mind on the situation at hand but there's a moment just before he speaks up where his eyes linger on Rey and then Poe and for a brief second he can't but feel like he's missed something.

It was good Finn at least knew what had happened even if it was bits and pieces and some rumors. Rey got out of bed, went to find Poe and found out he was in the med bay, and took off from there. She didn't know it was only recently that he was allowed visitors into his room.

"I've been asleep for the last day and a half.." Which meant the last thing she could actually recall was Poe being in her room. It wasn't the right time or place to bring up what they had talked about, especially in front of Finn.

Considering she had been in bed all day, Rey opted to continue staniding, leaning on Finn a little even though she wanted to hug Poe and tell him she was sorry. Or...maybe it was best if she leave Poe and Finn alone. They...they needed to talk.

"Do you need anything? Either of you? I can go grab something. "

"Rey, you don't need to go. Sit down if you want."

There was a sigh hidden in his words. Finn's instincts were dead right. There was something he'd missed and right then, Poe wasn't really in decent enough shape to talk about. Of course, if they decided to, he really couldn't do much since he was confined to bed by orders and threats. Sore ribs when he moved didn't help much, either.

Once he knew Rey was going to stay put, he shifted his attention to Finn and offered him a faintly sheepish smile. If he was stuck in bed, at least he had his two favorite people there with him. At least until the medics kicked them out.

"We were sent to blow a First Order comm station that has information General Organa didn't want getting out. The intel we had was... older than we knew and they'd tripled the guards there thanks to the sensitive nature of the information. Still not too sure how they got me out. The report said they... blew the fighters to kill the signal."

This time, the sigh wasn't hidden or muffled. At least he hadn't been flying Black One. The fighter was a clear sign as to who was flying it so he decided to take one of the older ones instead. It was equipment they couldn't really afford to lose, but at least they all made it back.

"Hey, the mission was finished. That's all that matters."

"Don't go." Fact of the matter Finn is quick to insist Rey holds out a little while longer before rushing out to find something to do. He likes to think he knows Poe well enough to believe that the pilot would enjoy having some company until the medical droids kicked them out. At least Finn had always felt that way when their positions had been reversed and he had been the one ordered to stay in bed while he healed. He hadn't been in a position then to ask, not when both Rey and Poe were healthy and had important duties to tend to. Now though more than ever he wanted them both around just a little while longer.

"Sounds like someone had a long night." He chuckles at Rey's explanation but doesn't pry, he knows by now that she can handle herself and he hopes if there is something she needs his help with that Rey would ask. Though the smile is quickly lost as Poe recounts what details from the mission he can remember, more ships loss is a shame and he huffs upon hearing that the resistance's intel was old. Of course it was old, he thinks.

"Star Killer Base might be gone but that still doesn't mean the First Order is out of the fight."

Having both men tell her not to go makes it impossible for Rey to say no. She wanted to run again, to flee and give Poe and Finn the space they needed to talk. Assuming Poe wanted to talk to Finn.

"Alright, I'll stay," she told them softly, forcing a weak smile to play on her lips. She wouldn't leave, not yet. Maybe try again later if she thought the timing was right. Rey stayed silent, moving back to lean on Finn, not daring to find a chair or lean on the edge of the bed. Poe's explanation leaves Rey speechless and it feels like the wind's been knocked out of her. He was nearly killed, the First Order nearly killed him. That was always a possibility--for either of them, but this was just as close as Finn's near brush with death.

"No, they'll keep going until they obtain their goal or...we stop them." but not today, not when one of their best pilots and their best friend needed to rest. Her hand came to rest on Finn's shoulder for support.

"But at least you're okay...banged up, but still okay. Which means...Finn and I will be taking care of you once you're out of here."

"Oh, we'll stop them. Whatever it takes."

If anything, Poe was passionate about his service to the Resistance. If that meant his life, then he'd gladly give it. He had a legacy to live up to, after all. He wouldn't be his mother's child if he didn't constantly give it his all. That was part of the reason General Organa worried about him so much.

By now, the smile had faded into something solemn. The expression was pretty foreign on his face, but the situation wasn't a good one. Starkiller had just been the start of the conflict and they all knew it. Sure, it'd been a big victory, but it was a single victory and even now, still riding on that high, it was clear that even the Resistance's best and brightest weren't safe.

Rey's hesitation caught Poe's attention, his bruised face coloring just a bit when she said that both of them would be taking care of him. The sentiment was... sweet and it made him stupidly happy deep down to think that they cared enough to want to, but that was something he couldn't let on. Not when he saw the way Rey was leaning against Finn, both taking and offering up support to Finn. Clearing his throat, he shifted his gaze back to the rather boring ceiling above him, squinting just a bit at the bright lights.

"Ah, you two have more important things to be doing. I can't be off saving the galaxy for now, so I'll just have to depend on the two of you to handle it for me until I'm back up and flying. BB-8's more than capable of taking care of me and Snap and Jess are grounded. We can commiserate with each other. Wouldn't be the first time."

Somewhere between Poe's explanation and Rey's announcement that together they'd take down the first order Finn stretched himself out too ways and with his left hand settled over Poe's bandaged thigh and the other curled against the jedi's waist to connect the three of them together.

"Rey's right." The nod of agreement is given with an eager nod in his head, the gears of his brain already turning from years of strict training and discipline to come up with some kind of call to action. Raised by the First Order meant he had to know something else that could be of value, it was just a matter of gleaning through it for the right bit of information. However, Poe's words throw him off track and he snorts in disbelief.

"Nice try Hot Shot. We're not going anywhere - I mean out of the three of us only one is cleared for duty. Or have you been lying this whole time and you suddenly do have the power to make the General think I'm ready?"

"BB-8 will not be the only one taking care of you," Rey told the pilot with a stern voice. He wasn't going to try and talk her or Finn out of this. If anything, the duty would fall to Finn if she was body. Or if she wanted both men to be together so Poe could talk to Finn. She couldn't have that conversation right now.

But she did want to apologize how she was acting before. Later, before they were kicked out, they may have the chance to talk.

She was aware of where Finn's hand was, right around her waist and resting on Poe's thigh. He was stretching himself thin, but it was a way to show the three of them were connected. Though the two that should be connected should be Poe and Finn. As nice as it was for the three of them to be together like this, she knew sooner or later she would have to step aside. It weighed heavily on her mind, but she was doing her best to be supportive of the two me. She loved so much.

While Finn wasn't up for combat yet, she was sure he would be soon.

"The General may have other plans for you, Finn, but I don't Poe has that much power over the General. "

There was no hesitation when Finn's hand landed on his thigh. Without Poe thinking it over, his own hand moved to settle over it and for a moment, the usual cocksure smile softened once he'd realized what he'd done. His gaze drifted to Finn, the smile full of silent gratitude before he turned that same look to Rey. For just a little bit of time, things just seemed right.

It was a shame that feeling couldn't last. The deep connection between Rey and Finn was right there, before his eyes and oh so evident. He knew that while they would never turn him away, he couldn't exactly fit in like they did with each other. Deep down, he told himself it was alright, but even deeper, he knew it wasn't.

Still, he smiled on and shifted a little to try and sit back up.

"I can get away with a lot, but you know the General. She's tough, even to me. Finn, you'll be ready. Soon. You've already come so far... you both have. I'm proud of both of you."

"Tough is one way of putting it." The general is capable of a different kind of strength that Finn finds admirable. She is a leader in a league all her own and unlike those of the First Order actual cares deeply for her people as much as those she protects. Still, Finn knows enough not to question her directly which is why he can do little more than commiserate with Poe's current condition and orders.

"Yeah well - a lot's changed since before." He admits a finger under Poe's hand tapping with amusement as his eyes drift back upwards towards Rey. Especially, for him who had been ready to cut all ties and run to the outer rim. It wasn't his best moment, hell it was embarrassing to think of how much his fears controlled him, but both Rey and Finn helped him get through that. They showed him that he could be more and now that he was getting back on his feet it was time to repay them both.

The General was more than tough, but the single word was perfect to describe her. Though with Rey, she saw the woman behind the title and the mother that missed her son. She would have all of their hides if Poe tried to get back into a ship any time sooner, if Finn went into battle too soon, and if Rey did anything foolish.

But she felt like she was doing something foolish, lingering in Poe's presence when it was clear to her he needed to be with Finn. His cocksure smile softening once he placed his hand settled over Finn's. Deep down it felt nice to have the three of them connected like this, but she couldn't stand in his way. She couldn't talk to him now, but she could give him his space to talk to Finn. She squeezed the former stormertrooper's shoulder.

"Yeah, changed in good and bad ways.." Losing Han and others when Starkiller Base was destroyed. But they still had each other, all of them.

"Poe's not the only one proud of you, Finn. So am I." she told him, looking at him with a soft, weak smile. One that wasn't filled with her usual warmth and confidence.

"Proud of what the two of you have done so far...but, I need to go. Master Luke is looking for me right now." A white lie, one that both men might be able to see right through. Or maybe Poe, but she was trying to give him and Finn together.

The look Poe gave Rey clearly said that he knew she was lying and by the way his smile smoothed completely out, he wasn't pleased by it. He knew exactly what was going on with Rey and while it frustrated him, he understood her reasoning. He'd hoped she would've worked past this discomfort from the other night, but it seemed his hopes were in vain.

Frowning, he pulled his hand away from Finn's and finally wriggled his way upright, biting back a curse in Huttese as he did so. Moving so much hurt but damn it, he wasn't just going to lay there and watch her try to lie her way out of something.

"I never took you for the kind of person that ran away, Rey. Was I wrong?"

"But we just got here." Finn is well aware that he is in no position to complain, Rey's training is important - bigger in the grand scheme of things than any single one thing all considering. However, some thing in that instance pushed those words out of him as quickly as it had forced Poe up from the bed. However, Finn's surprise at Poe's words is clear on his face and his eyes widen in surprise.

Again there is that feeling, it's a nibbling uncertainty that bites a little harder at his senses and now Finn knows for sure he's not only missed something but that he's right in the middle it. He cares about Poe and Rey so much that it is hard not to feel tugged on two ends as he watches Poe accuse the jedi of running away, but it also and understandable so puts him on the defensive. He's been on the receiving end of wanting to run and he knows what being provoked can make you do in a situation like that.

"Poe. Enough." It's rare that he comes off forceful sounding, but in this case he believes it's necessary to catch both of their attentions. With a hand held up between them he pushes upward to put himself between them and motions to the bed.

"You need to stay in bed and you." He looks at Rey now, voice growing soft and taking on a genuine sound of concern because the last thing he expects is for Rey to look him in the eyes now and lie to him. If she wants to go then he won't stop her, but Rey is going to have to say it again and make him believe it. "Do you really have to go now?"

Why couldn't Poe leave things alone? Why couldn't he let himself be happy and just let her take her bow and leave him and Finn in peace? He needed time with the other, after everything that's happened, he deserved to be happy. She would be fine with being friends, though in her heart of hearts, she wanted to be with both men. Which was utterly insane. How could one person feel so strongly for two others?

She would have thought her lie would have been the perfect excuse, but the pilot saw right through it. He was frowning and trying to sit up in his bed. Now, now he was calling her a coward. If she were like Kylo Ren, she would have lashed out, but instead she averted her gaze. It wouldn't be the first time she tried to run away from what was in front of her. She was prepared to tell him she wasn't running, but Finn came to her defense. That definitely took her aback.

Her gaze is back on her friend, looking at his dark eyes and trying to say the words again. Does she really have to go now because Luke was looking for her. She really didn't want to lie to Finn, or to Poe.

"...No, I don't have to go." Rey admitted softly, averting her gaze from Finn to Poe, silently asking him why he didn't want her to leave. She was trying to do what she thought he wanted.

Well, that hadn't gone like he'd intended. Biting back another scathing comment, he settled back into the bed, though he did remain sitting up this time. At least there was no more threat of him trying to get out of bed. Poe's temper was rarely seen and for good reason. He was hot headed, yes, but true anger was rare from him. That said, his temper could run hot once someone pushed him far enough. Thankfully, that took quite a lot.

Lips pursed in frustration, dark eyes settled on anything but the two people visiting him. It was odd, really. He should be happy that they were both there with him and while he was, he felt so damn anxious and that was clear in his irritated outburst. It just wasn't like him.

Finn's tone to both of them told Poe everything he needed to know. Rey was met with gentle words while Finn had snapped at him. The difference made his gut knot up and his heart sink lower than he realized it could. That sinking feeling left him sitting there, staring down at a faint scar on his hand and oddly silent.

Finn is not sure what to be more concerned about when Rey admits truthfully that she does not have to go. He might not be a jedi, capable of reading minds but something is bothering Rey like he's never really seen before. It cause for concern because in all their time together Rey has always been collected and level headed in the face of danger, where as he always was quick to scream and run. Biting down on his lip and turning to glance back at Poe he sighs, because it was also obvious that the pilot was agitated at more than just being forced to be stuck in bed.

"Look, I dunno what's going on with you two but if you need a minute I can go? I'm not stupid -" he grimaces realize how that might sound, like he is blaming himself for something he has no control over, but if either of them were to actually ask him how he felt at the moment that was a pretty good generalization. "You know what I mean. You're both acting different but I thought we came here to take care of each other and all of a sudden it seems like that's the opposite of what's going on."

Rey internally winced, curling one hand into a fist as Finn pointed the obvious between her and Poe. There was a shake of her head at him. No, he wasn't stupid and it was wrong of her to make him feel as such.

"No, I--we don't want you to go. I just..." She let out a soft sigh, biting the inside of her cheek as she tried to explain what happened without telling Finn that she was pushing for him and Poe to be together. That she liked both of them a whole lot but didn't want to stand in Poe's way.

"I'm being stupid," she admittedly softly. Maybe if she just came clean with (almost) everything it might help matters. It would leave her vulnerable but both deserve to know how she felt.

"Poe and I had a talk and...I like both of you, a lot. Not in the sense of friendship but...more." Her cheeks we pink and when she explained herself she reached over to lightly tough Poe's thigh while staying close to Finn.

"And in watching the two of you...I can't pick one or the other. I don't want to lose either one of you...you're both important to me. "

Now that wasn't what he'd expected to hear. Not when she was sober, anyway. Earlier, he had thought that he was being foolish for the same reason that Rey was saying and for a moment, he felt like a coward. She might be floundering about her confession, but at least she said something.

The hesitation in her voice was something he never wanted to hear again and it made his head hurt to listen to it. With a sigh, he reached out and squeezed her hand before letting his hand settle back in his lap, safely away from everyone else's. All the while, he barely even looked up, and when he did, he met no one's gaze.

"Rey, you don't need to pick... and Finn..."

He couldn't. He couldn't say it.

"We're friends. All of us. She's got this bucketheaded idea that she needs to vanish or something in the hopes that you and I will... talk. Spend time together and whatever else."

That whatever else had been on his mind a lot lately, but not just with Finn.

"All this over a talk?" His eyes never stop moving between Rey and Poe as he listens, though it is difficult to grasp the implications right away. What he hears at first is the obvious, Rey likes both of them and Finn could not think of anything greater to hear. After all, Poe turned in to the first friend he ever had and the pilot helped show him he deserved to be his own person. The fact that Rey who turned out to be the next and equally important person in his life and Poe were getting along was perfect.

"Wait you -?" The rest he wasn't quiet ready for. Sure he understood the words but the impact of them took longer to get past years of First Order training - training that still made things like the idea of someone actually having real feelings for him difficult to accept let alone understand. However, it causes his heart to race in ways he's never quiet experienced before and the last thought he has is not jealously over the fact that Rey likes Poe too, but just that possibly both of them care that much about him.

It takes him a few more minutes to say anything else, but in the meant time he makes several attempts to with almost frustrated motions of his hands that come in between those moments Finn's mouth opens and no words come out because there's only one thing that's pretty clear to him and it makes all this a lot more amusing than it should.

"Did you two ever stop to think about what I wanted?" His whole life he's been having decisions made for himself and if Rey and Poe weren't so important to him Finn might have been offended, but in this instance all he can do is laugh over how silly the two of them are being.

"I don't want to pick at all, Poe," Rey told the pilot, her gaze focused on him, feeling her heart break as he couldn't withstand to look at her. She really screwed up big time, but instead of running away, she would take her licks for it. At least the truth was out there. At least both men knew how she felt about them. Hopefully...this would be the worst of it, letting Poe and Finn go to become...something more.

"I want you two to be happy." Why was that so hard for him to take in? She wanted to reach out and hold Poe, to say she was sorry and hope he wouldn't push her away. That was the scariest thing to her: to lose not just Poe, but Finn too.

But, yes Finn, this was all because of a talk. And by the way both her and Poe were acting, it was all true. They cared so much for him that they were inadvertently fighting over him--only fighting to give him over to the other person. But, Finn made a point, they didn't consult him. Rey ducked her head, feeling more stupid than she ever had.

"No...we--I didn't, but..." really she was running out of excuses--wait, was he laughing? That made her snap her head up to look at her friend.

"How is this funny?"

"I'm glad someone thinks this is funny."

Sighing, Poe reached up to idly scratch at a bandage on his cheek before he shot Finn a rather put upon look at the laugh. All in all, this whole thing was frustratingly stupid but Poe had never really been a man of words. He showed affection in actions, and oddly enough, the smaller, the better. His grand gestures were saved for flying, but the little ones showed he cared.

"... but Finn's right. We don't know what he wants. So... what do you want?"

Being amused is much easier than being upset and in it's own way makes the situation a touch more endearing considering both Poe and Rey were attempting to side line themselves so he and whoever else could be happy.

"Look you two, I dunno exactly what you two said to one another but I need you two to understand that you're both really important to me. I never had friends before... never was allowed to know more than my unit and even then we were all just a bunch of faceless designations. If you loved anything that was weakness ... I'm not even sure I'd know it if it was right in front of me. What I do know is now that I'm not terrified anymore there's no way I can sit here and tell either of you not to be in my life. You guys are the best thing that's ever happened to me and I don't want to lose either of you."

What that means exactly - well, even Finn can't explain. Relationships and their titles are just something he has never had deal with beyond leader and solider.

It wasn't as simple as Funn was making it sound. Poe and Rey were trying to give him the chance to be with either of them. But the truth was, it would hurt regardless because Rey wanted both men...and Finn felt the same way. He didn't want to lose either of them.

Three people couldn't be together in a relationship other than friendship...right? Rey looked over at Poe, thinking he would have an answer to this. Because out of the three of them, he had the most experience with this.

"You wouldn't lose either of us, Finn. It's...more than that. You would still have us, but..." One would mean more than the other.

"I don't know how to explain it. "

"She's in love, Finn. She loves both of us but she thinks you should be with me and not her."

Oh, he knew. He knew too well. Love was something he never wanted to mess with. With his life and what he did for the Resistance, love was something dangerous. He'd seen how loved ones crumbled when their pilot didn't come back from missions and that was something he swore he'd never inflict on someone. Back then, he thought such a thing was selfish and cruel. Now, it'd happened him and instead of feeling euphoric, he felt sad. He loved his friends, sure, but what he felt for Finn and Rey was something far more demanding than that.

And now one of those people had pretty neatly settled him in the friendzone. It hurt, but in a way, he thought it was better for everyone involved. Once he was out of the medbay, he could find a way to ease the unexpected ache and get on with life.

For now, all he could do was sigh and card a hand though his hair before scratching at his cheek again.

"You're important to both of us and I'm glad we can be here for you."

"So she loves you and me... and you love me and her?" His eyes drift momentarily away from Rey and back on Poe as his fingers play connect the dots by slowly motioning between them. He wonders at least for a brief moment if it might just be better if he was the one to take the step back, after all in between the ups and downs somehow Rey AND Poe managed to connect. In truth it's just another admirable thing that Finn wants to experience more of and with both of them. Which is why all of this is so terribly confusing, because he can't imagine having it without one of them.

"What if I say... what I want is for there not to be a choice? It seems unfair if I feel the same way about both of you." Right now all he has to go on is how hard his heart is pounding in his chest, it's like being terrified but instead of wanting to run he's firmly planted in one spot. The only thing that'll get him to move is seeing either of them try and go - he's not ready for that.

It had never been Rey's intention to push Poe into the 'friend zone,' heck, she didn't even know what that was. She was trying to navigate the difficult, murky waters of her feelings. Having Poe blurt out that she loved both of them made her cheeks turn pink. Love....that was such a strong word, but she did feel strongly for the two of them. It seemed like the appropriate term, but it only made her heart ache more knowing she wouldn't be able to be with either of them.

But...she was used to being alone. She knew how to take care of herself and her friends would be happy.

"...I don't know about that Finn." Poe? Love her? No, he clearly had eyes for Finn only. At least that's what she had believed all this time.

She watched Finn pull away, forcing herself to keep her hands at her sides, to not fold them up and create a barrier between her and them. Then Finn manages to tell them he shared the same feelings for both of them. He didn't want to choose which really leaves her head spinning.

"I...I wouldn't know what to do. Relationships are usually between two people...." she turned her attention to Poe. "Right?" Because Light help her, she didn't know.

He knew it now. They were all crazy. How could any of them think any kind of relationship would work in the middle of what could easily turn into a war? If that happened, he knew it would likely end up badly, with the survivors heartbroken and that wasn't something he wanted for them.

He let that word settle between them for a few long moments. Finally, he looked over at Rey, then to Finn and he knew that indeed, they werecrazy. There they were, looking to him for advice. Him, the infamous playboy pilot that really wasn't one to live up to the rumors. Sure, he had a decent amount of experience, but relationships had never been his thing. Too many loose ends and people left behind when missions had priority.

He wouldn't want to hurt them like that.

"Look, this kind of things is... nice and everything, but is it a good idea? We pretty much just started a war with the First Order. Finn, you know how that'll work since they trained you. Rey... you're a fighter, but you have no idea what this kind of fighting is like. Love has a habit of... not surviving wars. Are you sure you two want to risk it?"

"Poe's right it won't be easy." He announces honestly, the tone in his voice and the way his arms cross over his chest giving a way more of just how difficult fighting the First Order will be rather than his words. They were far from down from the count and while they had dealt a crippling blow by taking out their most dangerous weapon the entire Organization would only double their efforts from here on out.

"Look you guys I'm not going to lie but I'm probably the worst person to rely on in this situation. The First Order prohibits just about everything we do, relationships are just another thing that gets in the way, but what I have with both of you is special - it makes me stronger. I don't want to lose that." Reaching out again this time to touch both Poe and Rey at the same time before he tugs the jedi closer to Poe's bedside with him.

Nothing in life was ever easy, especially when they were in the middle of a war. However, Rey didn't want to lose either guy. They were both special to her. She was used to fighting to survive on Jakku....why wasn't she fighting for both of them, Finn wanted to do it...if Poe could accept this too, then maybe what they have could stand a chance.

"I honestly, don't know what I'm doing either but...I can't imagine my life without either of you two. " She goes to Poe's bedside a little more quickly than she would have done thanks to Finn's tug.

"I'm used to fighting, everyday, and if I can have you two....that'll be more than enough for me. " more than enough in this life time and the next. She reached out to take Poe's hand, hoping he would want to be in this crazy relationship with them.

The decision seemed to weight heavily on Poe's mind. He remembered what it was like to be so young and in a way, he was envious. It was another reminder of why he fought so hard and why he let himself get worn out; so others could have things like this. He never imagined he'd be able to, though.

Huffing, he let his fingers tangle with Rey's even as he licked at his lip only to end up pulling it between his teeth. If he could move any closer to Finn, he'd be pressed up against his side, but moving still hurt a bit and while he'd never admit it, he wasn't about to try it.

"Well then, I suppose we're all stuck with each other then."

"You suppose? I'm finally a big deal and you just suppose?" With a dramatic sigh Finn drops down against Poe's bed with a wide smile to show his words are just a way of cutting through all the tension that's been building in the air since they got clearance to visit Poe. In reality Finn could not help but feel satisfied to know the other two felt the way they did and at least wanted to try and see things through no matter how crazy things might get.

"Come on Rey." Finn warns the young jedi before giving the hand he is holding on to a firm tug to bring him down on the edge of the the bed with them. He's not going to let her off easy either.

"Now it sounds like I missed a lot last night." Someone's going to have to tell him all the embarrassing stuff he missed. The only question is who's going to spill the other details first?

Until Poe gave his answer, it felt like the world had come to a complete stop. He could always say no to them. Say no to her and go on to be with Finn. The option to just leave her was still on the table, but that was her fear talking. When Poe gave them his answer, Rey stood in silence. Shocked that agreed and shocked he wanted them.

It wasn't until Finn jerked her over to the pilot's bedside that she finally let out a sigh of relief and started to smile again.

"Finn, you've always said you were a big deal. " like when they first met and he told her he was part of the Resistance. She squeezed his hand silently thanking him for bringint them to this point. Her gaze fell to Poe, her smile turning sheepish.

"...we were talking and I was drunk. I had too much to drink and never felt so bad in my life, but Poe came over to make sure I was alive. " and provided her with many forehead kisses. Ones she wanted to return to him and give to Finn.
